The College of Social Sciences is holding the CSS Freshie Orientation to welcome our new batch of students for the Academic Year 2022-2023. Traditionally, the freshmen orientation has been held at the College of Social Sciences Courtyard a few weeks into the new semester. The Dean, esteemed faculty members from the different college departments and the students all gather to participate in the event. This is where notable members of the college introduce all the things that the freshmen have to know in their journey with the College of Social Sciences. This includes matters concerning admission such as enrollment, shifting, and transferring, as well as information regarding the different disciplines within the college.
One notable feature of the orientation is the question and answer portion where students are free to ask their questions or concerns to the College. These concerns may range from scholarships, academic honors, even to housing considerations.
The pandemic has forced a transition to the online setting for safety and security. Even with the decreasing threat of the virus, the students’ health and safety is the number one priority of the college. This year’s CSS Freshie Orientation will be held online via the Zoom platform. Despite the change of modality, notable persons such as the College Dean, Department Heads, and the College Secretary, will be present to welcome our new students into the College of Social Sciences.
To register for the orientation, make sure to check your newly given UP emails for the registration link. The Office of the College Secretary will be sending you the credentials needed to enter the orientation proper.
New students! Welcome to the College of Social Sciences and we all look forward to seeing you at the Freshie Orientation on 12 September 2022, Monday at 3 PM via Zoom. Again, don’t forget to check your UP emails for the registration link.
See you there!
