The article is published in the 200th volume of Synthese. Synthese is a philosophy journal focusing on contemporary issues in epistemology and related fields.
The article explores the relationship and the connection between formalizations of induction and the actual inductive inferences of scientists. His work also argues that these formalizations should be seen as models rather than literal descriptions of inductive inferences in science. (To read the entire abstract, click here.)
